In Brazil, we say that cats have seven lives. It's a common expression that refers to the feline's ability to escape risky situations without getting hurt. The term becomes “nine lives” in the United States, despite having the same meaning.
It was with this meaning that Aerosmith baptized their 12th studio album, released on March 18, 1997. The album “Nine Lives” used the title of the song of the same name, the first to be recorded for the full-length, to convey the idea that the band had survived – and well – several problems along its trajectory.
